The aim of the article is to analyze the methods of landscape identificationand valorisation developed by Polish researchers to identify landscape units in local scale. Literature review of the topic and the most important methods were presented in a form of a table. I analyzed the method of identifying the landscape in terms of the criteria for landscape units identificationand the scale on which the method is used. I analyzed the valorisation methods due to the criteria for assessing the value of the landscape, scale and the presence of elements of natural and cultural landscape. The research shows that a holistic approach to landscape is becoming more and more popular, both in the methods of identificationand valorisation. Most methods are adapted to the regional scale, and the used criteria of evaluation are difficulto measure. I noticed the lack of methods used at the local level with the help of objective assessment tools.
