ABSTRACT
This paper presented the variety and diversity of soil units in the Opole region. Spatial distribution of some units of soil refers to the distribution of parent materials and the structural elements of the relief. The predominant soil types in the study area are classified as Rendzinas, Chernozems, Cambisols, Podzol and Fluvisols. Shaped by the pedogenesis and different properties of parent material analyzed soils show the differences in the morphological of the profile, which are shaped by the difference of plant habitats and belonging to different categories of soil use.
