ABSTRACT
The paper presents the results of research on the quantity and quality of wastewater in municipal wastewater treatment plant in Głogówek in period with and without rainfall. For runoff coefficients, amount of rainwater collected with combined sewerage system was evaluated as well as solutions which could limited the rainwater collected by canalization were proposed. Observations were carried out in the period 2015 – 2017. The amount of wastewater treated in wastewater treatment plant in Głogówek was 884,6 m3d-1 and the maximum value of inflowing wastewater accounted 84,5 % of the project value. The treatment efficiency in research period was high 96,8% for total suspension, 98% for BOD5 and 91,7% for COD respectively. During the observation period, the impact of increased inflow of rainwater on the outflow quality wasn’t observed. The reduction of pollution level in period with increased wastewater inflow was above 90%. The treatments that increased retention of the catchment allow to reduce inflow of rainwater by 41,3%.
